Editorial policy

What we hold ourselves to

The standards behind every verdict on this site: how we decide what is good, how we keep money away from the rankings, and what we do when we are wrong. Plain rules, applied the same way to every tool.

Reviewed by THE VETTEDSAAS DESK· Updated JANUARY 2026· How we vet

VettedSaaS is reader supported and commercially funded, and that only works if our judgment is independent. This policy sets out the rules that keep it that way. It applies to every page, every writer, and every tool we cover, with no exceptions for advertisers.

The bright line

Editorial and commercial, kept apart.

Editorial decides
+Which tools we cover and how we test them
+The score each tool earns against the rubric
+Where a tool ranks and what the verdict says
+When a page is updated or a verdict changes
Commercial can buy
A clearly labeled placement or link, marked rel="sponsored"
Visibility beside relevant content, outside the ranking
Nothing that moves a score or softens a verdict
No say over coverage, testing, or wording

How we score

Every tool is assessed against five weighted criteria: ease of use, features and depth, value for money, integrations, and support and onboarding. We praise what is good and name the tradeoffs honestly rather than hand out uniformly high marks. The full rubric and weights live in how we vet and methodology and scoring.

Accuracy and sourcing

We verify pricing, tiers, features, and limits by checking the vendor in the same session we write them, and we state every figure as of a month and year with a reminder to confirm current pricing with the vendor. We do not invent numbers, features, test hours, usage counts, quotes, or scores. If we cannot confirm a claim, it does not go on the page.

Disclosure

Affiliate and paid links are marked rel="sponsored" and an affiliate disclosure sits near the first such link on every page that has one. Sponsored elements carry a visible tag in muted type, never the accent color reserved for editorial scores. The footer of every page restates the basics, and the full version is on our disclosure page.

Corrections

We correct in public. Every commercial page shows a visible last updated date, and when pricing, features, or our read of a tool change, the verdict changes with them. Spot something off? Tell us through contact or our corrections page.
