Wufoo

A dependable old hand at building forms, showing its age against newer rivals.

Wufoo helped define the online form back in the 2000s and is now part of SurveyMonkey. The builder is fast, the reports are clean, and the reliability is rarely in question. What holds it back in 2026 is a look and feel that has not kept pace, monthly entry caps on every paid tier, and a $0.05 charge per entry once you go over. For straightforward forms it still works, but the polish and the value sit behind the leaders.

What we found

In its favour

+ A fast, no fuss builder with a large template gallery and clean out of the box reporting.
+ Backed by SurveyMonkey, with steady reliability and long standing integrations.
+ Accepts payments through Stripe, Square, PayPal and others on the Professional plan and up.
+ Field validation, rules and theming cover the common needs of a working form.

Held against it

Every paid plan caps monthly entries, and going over costs $0.05 per extra entry.
The Starter plan allows just 1 user and 10 forms, so small teams move up quickly.
The interface and themes feel dated next to Tally, Paperform or Typeform.
Logic and calculations are lighter than what Jotform or Cognito Forms offer.
The scorecard

A solid tool the market has passed

Wufoo scores fairly on ease of use and integrations and lower on features and value, where entry caps and per entry overages make it expensive at volume. It is competent rather than exciting.

Buy it if you’re…

already inside the SurveyMonkey world, or you want a proven, simple builder for low volume forms and can live with the look.

Skip it if you’re…

after modern design, generous limits, or deep logic, all of which newer tools deliver for less.
